The blank is of great quality however the components and finishing are inferior to the ‘made in china’ rods.
I see it as a multi-purpose rod that will provide a lot of uses.
This Lamiglas rod is superior to my Cabela’s Pro Guide 8’6″ medium slamon steelhead rod. I use an 8′ heavy and it makes landing big fish really easy and allows you torque a fish more than other rods do.

With the lifetime warranty, there is no way you can go wrong. Great rod for the money. I know these rods are expensive, but bite the bullet and buy one. The cork handle is of very poor quality with deep scars covered with a type of putty. However, the shaping, sanding, and filling of the cork pits is first rate. Lamiglas G Series nice, lightweight,well balanced, tough T If you are a Loomis fanatic, I would say give Lamiglas a try and you might save some money. It splits into two separate pieces, making it easy to transport. It”s a little spinhing than the newest graphites, but IM6 is very affordable, dependable and tough. Have a 8′ 6″ G and am very happy – the action of my rod is slow – so it took me and hour and fifteen to land a 33 pound Mahaseer; fishing with one balanced with a Penn Slammer is bliss.
